Annamaria Colacci

Dr.
Colacci received her M.S. degree in Biology and Ph.D. in Applied Genetics
from the University of Bologna, Italy and has been awarded the title of European
Biologist (EurBiol) by the European Biologists Registration Committee.
After a research training in Pharmacology at the National Research Council, Italy,
she was tenured at the Institute for Cancer Research, University of Bologna.
In 1989 she joined the National Institute for Cancer Research (IST) where she
worked until January 2003 as the Chief of the Laboratory of Mechanisms of Carcinogenesis
and Anticarcinogenesis as well as Deputy Director of IST-Biotechnology Satellite
Unit of Bologna.
She currently heads the Excellence Area of Environmental Carcinogenesis at the
Environmental Protection and Health Prevention Agency - Emilia-Romagna Region
(ER-EPA) www.intermed.it/istbiotech
She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Postgraduate School of Applied Genetics,
University of Bologna.
She has acted as a member of the National Advisory Toxicology Committee, Italy,
since 1993.
She
is author or co-author of 64 original peer-reviewed publications, 2 monographs,
7 books chapters and 106 abstracts or presentations at peer-reviewed meetings.
